Term: Optical Printing
Subcategory: Technical
Definition: A re-photographying of a film frame by frame.  It provides a means of creating a copy of a film that allows for many more options (as opposed to contact printing); however, the process does lessen the amount of clarity and contrast in the footage in 16mm.
