Term: Polyester Base
Subcategory: Product
Definition: A long-lasting kind of film that is very difficult to rip.  It takes skill and practice to splice polyester base.  It cannot be used as original material, because it cannot be cement spliced.  The benefit of polyester base is that it lasts awhile and can tolerate usage well – a fact that lends it well to release prints.
