Welcome to the Arts and Crafts glossary index.  Terms included here relate to the hobbies and activities that individuals do with their hands.  There are several kinds of crafts.  Some crafts, called “traditional,” are crafts that have been passed down for hundreds of years from one generation to the next.  Crafts are often begun out of a necessity – and eventually turn into a form of art.
